• Project courtesy, hospitality and professional behaviour across your department at all times with guests and fellow colleagues.
• Assist the Receiving Clerk as necessary to make sure that all food, beverage and general supplies items received are transported to the proper storeroom as quickly as possible, are properly priced and shelved neatly.
• Ensure all inventory is properly stored to prevent wastage / loss of item.
• Ensure all merchandise entering the storeroom has proper documentation (PR/PO, market list, etc.) and to initial for all goods taken into the store.
• Ensure items being received are checked for proper documentation, quantities and quality before they are accepted.
• Issue merchandise / items to requesting Departments based on proper / approved requisition.
• Ensure all merchandise leaving storerooms is supported by properly authorised requisitions.
• Ensure oldest items are issued first to maintain FIRST IN, FIRST OUT (FIFO) organisation.
• Ensure expiration dates of merchandise are monitored and reported to the Cost Controller, F&B Manager, and Chef for their immediate action.
• Conduct monthly inventory counts.
• Assist with the preparation of the grocery list / beverage list or purchasing requests when stocks fall below established par levels.
• Monitor slow moving items and inform the Cost Controller so appropriate action can be taken.
• Maintain an organised and clean storeroom.
